Bosco Charity Association Charity Raffle Draw 2023

The annual Bosco Charity Association Charity Raffle Draw 2023 has come to an end. Above is the Lucky Draw result on 6th July 2023. A total of 35 lucky numbers were drawn and a total value of HK$59,929 of prizes were won by 35 lucky winners. We highly appreciate the support of BCA members and friends, the Salesian Group of Schools, alumni, Parishes and Salesian Cooperators for distributing the raffle tickets during the 55-day selling period. We sincerely thank everyone who supported this event.

All proceeds of HK$284,058.47 (after deducted the costs) will be donated to sponsor youth development activities of the yourth centres and schools under the auspices of the Salesians of Don Bosco and Salesian Co-operators.

All proceeds will be used to sponsor youth development activities of the youth centres and schools under the auspices of the Salesians of Don Bosco and Association of Salesian Co-operators Limited.

Draw results will be publicized on 13 July 2023 in the Standard and Sing Tao Daily and Bosco Charity Association Limited website. Winners should collect prizes from Bosco Charity Association Limited office at 5/F, Chung Nam House, 59 Des Voeux Road Central, Central, Hong Kong on any working days (Mon-Fri:9:00am-1:00pm & 2:00-6:00pm) on or before 14 Aug 2023 on production of the winning ticket(s). Winners are required to call Miss Yu at 2856 0038 to register in advance for collection of prizes. All prizes are non-cashable and non-refundable. If a winner does not collect his/her prize within the time prescribed hereinabove, he/ she shall be deemed to waive his/ her right to the prize. Bosco Charity Association Limited may dispose of the relevant prize as it thinks fit. In case of any dispute, decision of Bosco Charity Association Limited shall be final and conclusive.

Remark: The winner of alcohol prizes must be aged 18 or above, otherwise, the prize must be redeemed by the winner's guardian aged 18 or above.

BCA StarWalkathon 2023

The 7^th Annual BCA StarWalkathon was successfully held on the 18th February, 2023, Saturday, at Happy Valley Racecourse this year. Over half a hundred participants attended the Walk on that day and everyone completed the walk happily.

We were very grateful that the opening speech and the welcome speech were given by Father Joseph Ng SDB, Head of China Province of Salesian Society of Don Bosco and  Chairman of Bosco Charity Association Mr Thomas Yeung respectively and followed by a prayer led by Father Simon Lam SDB.

 

We sincerely thank our honored guests from the Salesian Society: Father Joseph Ng, Father Simon Lam, Father Pedro Leong, Father Matthew Chan, and Rev. Fr. Leung Paul SDB. We especially thank the Head and Deputy Head of Holy See Study Mission Hong Kong, Monsignor José and Monsignor Alvaro, for coming to support our event. Five Salesian School Principals from the Salesian English School, Salesian Yip Hon Primary School, Central and Western District St. Anthony's School, Salesian Yip Hon Millennium Primary School and St. Anthony's School also attend our event.

 

Most importantly, we would like to thank the President and the Vice-Presidents, members and family members of the Bosco Charity Association, leaders, teachers and students from a number of youth centres, including the Aberdeen Technical School - Boarding Section and also the, Don Bosco Youth Centre (Salesian Yip Hon Millennium Primary School) and Salesian Cooperators (China Province) (in no particular order) for their presence and support.

The Starwalkthon 2023 raised nearly HKD400,000 for supporting the work that Bosco Charity Association do for the deprived youth in Hong Kong.
